Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of material on Willacy County Criminal History. Continued use means that you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated resource is not connected with Willacy County, Texas, or any government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a consumer report for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official criminal records, run official checks, retrieve personal files, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the Willacy County Sheriff, courthouse clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and other record custodians. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the service, you agree not to:

  • Violate a federal, state, or local law
  • Stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or discriminate against a person
  • Use content for a credit, job, housing, or insurance decision
  • Gain or attempt unauthorized system access
  • Send bots, scrapers, or other automated tools through the pages
  • Disrupt performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. That rule is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas law may punish harassment, threats, stalking, assault, or other misuse directed at a listed person. Registry access exists for public and family safety, not vigilante action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Neither this resource nor its advertising partners offer a service designed for an FCRA-regulated decision. You must not use data from these pages or a linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally compliant report for a regulated purpose must come from an appropriate official or FCRA-compliant provider, not from this resource or its widget.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Willacy County charge, judgment, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to one case. Ask a licensed Texas attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All material and functions are provided "as is." We do not promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records change as charges are filed, resolved, restricted, or expunged. Gaps and delays can occur. No statement here is an official statement from a Willacy County court, sheriff, police department, or Texas agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to official agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. We do not control a destination's content, privacy practices, charges, accuracy, or availability. Review its terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Willacy County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, changed, or used to make a derivative work without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damage arising from use of these pages or reliance on information obtained here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the service or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Government Code Chapter 552 supplies the Texas Public Information Act for government records, and Government Code Chapter 411 governs criminal-history dissemination. Any dispute tied to use of the service must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions. A revision takes effect when the new text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
